Return to "Topper Dawn Dolls"
Each Topper fashion made for Dawn came with accessories, a hanger, and a booklet of additional fashions that were available. There were a total of five different issues of this booklet (I only have examples of the first four). They came as long, folded strips of shiny enamel paper, with the images printed on it in paneled sections. Below is the first-issue of the fashion booklets:

The playsets that were introduced at this time were shown as artist's renditions. This changed to photographs of the actual item in the second-issue booklet, except for the Carrying Case, which was never produced as shown above.
CLOSE-UPS
This cover was used for the first- and second-issue booklets.
Pssst! Look at Dawn on the right panel of the cover. Notice anything unusual? E-mail me if you've caught it!
Congratulations to
Michele Drake!

She was the first one to
e-mail me with the correct answer.
Dawn is looking to her right, instead of her left, and her eyes are brown, not blue.
Starting with inside the front cover, this is pages 1 and 2.
Pages 3 and 4.
Pages 5 and 6.
Pages 7 and 8.
Pages 9 and 10.
Pages 11 and 12.
This panel is the first page of the outside of the booklet, and forms the back panel.
We'll call this Page 13.
Pages 14 and 15.
Pages 16 and 17. Notice the playsets are shown as artists' drawings, rather than the actual item.
Pages 18 and 19. Dawn's car, above right, is described as a battery-operated toy, but is shown pink, rather than blue.
Pages 20 and 21.
Pages 22 and 23. The trunk-like Carrying Case was never produced. Topper opted instead to manufacture the three- and six-doll cases shown on a later booklet. A shame, really. I like the trunk case, and would love to know if there's a prototype out there.
Page 24 of the booklet is the last panel at the far right side of the outside, which forms the front cover, above.
