Diana dolls and fashions were produced by Day-Fran Toys, but seemed to be a clearing-house for Topper and Palitoy Pippa fashions that had been liquidated. I have examples of two different kinds of packaging, with the most common being a blister pack. It is uncertain if there were additional fashions pictured on the back of the card. The other form of packaging was a purple striped box, showing the fashion through a diamond-shaped window. An artist's sketch on the front showed a girl wearing a fashion, but not necessarily the one in the box. The back of the box showed additional fashions. I apologize for my images being so small, but they're all I've got. If anyone has any other Diana fashions still in their packaging, please e-mail me at ldcraig@whos-that-doll.com. Thanks!
Diana fashion in purple box.
Apologies for the poor quality photo. This is a halter-top dress with striped skirt.
Other available fashions shown on the back of the box. Please contact me if you have a better photo.
Above and at left is the back of a Michelle Fashions box sent to my by Peggy Coleman. You can see the fashions shown here are the same as the ones on the back of the Diana box. Both boxes are identical in style, and on the back, above the fashion photos, it says "Michelle" or "Diana by GG" in a diamond icon. That's the only clue to the manufacturer of these fashions.
The fashions shown below are by Day-Fran, and are mainly re-packaged Dawn and Pippa fashions. Further below are Day-Fran Diana dolls with additional fashions.
Blue & white striped shirt with purple pants/leggings
Day-Fran Diana fashion with re-packaged Topper "Singin' in the Rain", but with jogging pants added.
Day-Fran Diana fashion with re-packaged Palitoy Pippa first-issue pantsuit.
Day-Fran Diana fashion with re-packaged Palitoy Pippa 2nd-issue green and pink flowered dress.
Included with the packaged doll to the left are two Topper fashions. One is the "Golden Moment" coat. The other is a recently discovered Topper fashion called "Tea for Two". This mini was shown in a 1972 Topper Salesman Catalog that recently sold on an auction site. Though never sold as a Dawn fashion in the U.S., it seems apparent now that this fashion had gone into production just prior to Topper Toys going into bankruptcy, and had to be sold off when Topper liquidated their assets.
Until 2007, this little mini was regarded as a cute little knock-off, sold mainly in Europe and the U.K. as "Pippa Pak" fashions.

Diana Fashions were not only sold individually. Sometimes they were sold with a doll , and these dolls were often Palitoy Pippa or Topper Dawn dolls.
