What I don't know about Palitoy's Pippa doll would fill the United Terminal at O'Hare Airport. Only a handful of these sweet, delightful little dolls have come into my possession, and they are shown below. There are so many wonderfully in-depth websites dedicated to Pippa already, that rather than re-hash it here (and possibly get it wrong), I will provide links below to a few of my favorite sites where you can see and learn more about Dawn's "British cousin".
For more information about the world of Pippa, you can also look in Joedi Johnson's book, "Pippa & Her World" (Catpigg Press, (c)2001), or her book "Dawn & Her World", where she also touches on Pippa. Benita Schwartz's book, "Dawn Dolls: Official Encyclopedia & Price Guide" (Hobby House Press, (c)2001) also has information and photos about Pippa, her fashions and accessories.

Pippa's body style is very similar to Topper Dawn. She is made of plastic and vinyl, with rooted hair and eyelashes, and painted facial features.
Her body has a slanted twist-n-turn waist, and she is jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist, hips and knees.
Pippa's knees have external pin-joints which click into a 90-degree bended position, and her hips can also click into a sitting posture.
Below are a few of my favorite links to Pippa doll websites. Please take a moment to visit them (but be sure to come back here!).
This is a wonderfully comprehensive site that has a place where you can identify your Pippa doll or friend, see the fashions, browse through other members' collections and see some awesome custom Pippa dolls. Highly recommended!

If you love custom Pippa dolls, or if you just love to look at the eye-candy, feast your eyes on Tracy Farrant's amazing site. She not only showcases the most incredible custom dolls, but also offers tips on restoring your dolls back to their natural state, or making your own custom doll. Just eye-popping!

Another showcase website filled with outstanding custom Pippa dolls made by a very talented (and very sweet!) lady. Jo Lofthouse has created some stunning custom dolls and fashions. It's pure eye-candy, but I've always had an eye for sweets! Enjoy!
