"Peggy Sue"
by Buddy Holly
Peggy Ann fashions were produced in the early 1970's at the height of Topper Dawn's popularity. There were two fashion lines that I have seen: the "Flower Fashions" and the "Boutique Clothes". Peggy Ann Fashions were made for larger sized dolls besides Dawn; I've seen Peggy Ann Fashions for Ideal's Crissy and Velvet dolls. Construction is fairly decent, and the styles were not "cookie-cutter" in design, though there DOES seem to be a lot of pants suits in this line!
I apologize for the smallness of these images, and for the poor quality of some. You might notice some of the jewelry seems too large for the miniature fashion doll. The simple explanation is that they weren't meant for the doll, but for the little girl who owned it.

FLOWER FASHIONS
The Peggy Ann "Flower Fashions" seem to offer more glitz and glamour in this line than the "Boutique Clothes" above.  Of the few examples shown here, there are evening gowns, formal hostess-style pantsuits and wedding gowns not seen in the other line of fashions. Certainly, however, there are offerings of both formal and casual attire in either.
Blue dress
Similar to the "Boutique Clothes" above
Black and silver brocade formal skirt set
Black pantsuit
Light blue brocade evening gown and coat Gold brocade evening gown with fur-trimmed gold brocade coat
Green dress with multi-color striped sleeves Pink dress with striped pleated inserts Red poncho and pants with braid trim
Two slightly different variations of this wedding gown.
The dress at left shows white flowers on the crown of the veil; the one at right has multi-colored flowers.
Though the photo quality is poor, it seems to look as though the style of the dress is the same -- a plain, satin A-line dress with a lace collar and possibly lace at the ends of the sleeves. There might also be a lace overlay on the skirt, or possibly a lace "train" to attach to the back.
