PREMIER FASHIONS
Now Playing:
"Pretty Woman"
by Roy Orbison
Probably one of the most successful and popular second-market maker of doll fashions was Premier. They made fashions for dolls long before Topper's Dawn exploded onto the scene, and continued to do so after Topper Toys was liquidated in 1973. Premier made not only clothing, but accessories as well, adding boots, shoes, purses, umbrellas, etc. to the miniature fashion doll's wardrobe. None of the fashions were named.
About the Fashions...
I'm not sure when Premiere released these fashions, except to say they were made for Dawn at the height of her popularity. The color and style of packaging may have had something to do with the year in which they were made, or perhaps it was determined by which distributors were selling which fashions, and how they were displayed in the stores. Or it may have meant nothing at all. In any case, I've grouped these fashions according to the packaging style, for aesthetic purposes.

THE ACCESSORIES
As mentioned above, Premier made accessories for fashion dolls, in addition to the outfits themselves. Most of these were sold under the name "Doll-Things", and included boots, shoes, purses, jewelry and other things no well-dressed fashion doll should be without.
